Let the richness of the quality North American leather and card stock pages pull you into an era past. Designed to inspire you, or that special someone, these books are our way of imparting our creative spirit to you!

This book was inspired by Alberta's provincial crest and custom developed from there. We created both the custom leather casing, complete with a custom "Alberta" Logo stamp on the inner flap, and the brass Alberta crest from scratch. The colouring on the metal is also custom. If you are interested in a different provincial / National crest or one from outside of Canada please contact us regarding pricing and timelines.

The red-brown inspired leather book you are currently admiring was hand crafted by Edmonton artist Amy Skrocki (Paragon of Design of Skrocki). The casing for this book was created from top quality leather, hand carved and tooled, hand dyed, and hand bound. The pages in this book are acid free thick antiqued card stock (not white) and ideal for: writing, drawing, photos, or keepsakes. The book can be rebound when you have filled the pages as well, so the case can be used for a long time. The size of this journal is 23.7 x 15.8 x 4 cm.

The brass shield is the product of a rigorous 35-45 step process. Starting with plain sheets of metal we design and create our components one at a time. Some of the key steps include preparing the metal and design work, etching the imagery and cutting custom shapes. Each piece is finished with a meticulous hand applied coloring process wherein each color is individually applied and often on different days to allow for the lengthy drying process (up to 72 hours). The majority of the other steps revolve around an absurd amount of sanding and cleaning, as well as, adding the finishing touches such as ear hooks, jump rings, soldering etc. Because of this no two items are identical and they have variations between each item.
