One day, while my daughter and I were drawing, a large shadow passed over our living room window, blocking the light. Then it happened again. She ran to the window and excitedly told me there were two giant Bald Eagles soaring above our house.

I love going out in winter to search for these incredible birds. This particular owl turned its head all the way around to meet my gaze straight on—a mesmerizing moment that inspired this painting.

This is a high-quality art print of my original watercolour painting, Swimming in the Stars.
Inspired by the graceful beauty of Canadian geese, this piece captures a peaceful moment from a local park. One evening, as the sun was setting and the stars began to appear, we stood by a pond filled with hundreds of geese.
My daughter, just five years old at the time, gazed at the shimmering water and said, "Look at how beautiful the reflection of the setting sun is on the pond. Soon the stars will be out, and the birds will look like they are swimming in the stars."
That magical moment quickly turned chaotic when some unexpected geese behind us decided to chase us away! But the inspiration remained, and I wanted to capture that dreamlike, peaceful scene in this painting.
