Gothic Cathedral Quatrefoils with Red in Brass
Hooks are hypoallergenic and come with ear nubs.
Each metal component, made in our Alberta, Canada, studio, is the product of a rigorous 35-45 step process (around 35 per earring or pendant and between 40 and 45 per ring and cuff link). Starting with plain sheets of metal we design and create our components one at a time. Some of the key steps include preparing the metal and design work, etching the imagery and cutting custom shapes. Shaping is done with a manual hydraulic press (2000 lbs plus per a component) to create stronger, more durable and professionally shaped components. Each piece is finished with a meticulous hand applied coloring process wherein each color is individually applied and often on different days to allow for the lengthy drying process (up to 72 hours). The majority of the other steps revolve around an absurd amount of sanding and cleaning, as well as, adding the finishing touches such as ear hooks, jump rings, soldering etc. Because of this no two items are identical and they have variations between each item.

5 x 7 inch - Not all those who wander are lost - Leather Journal
Sometimes nothing ignites creativity quite like a dash of character and for this series of journals that’s exactly what we had in mind. Each piece of leather was chosen based on its unique qualities with no two being the same, ever! Once the artwork was etched onto the journals we hand dyed them with a different dye than the rest of our work and with a different technique. The result was an antiqued finish show casing the character of the leather and often giving them a woodgrain look. The inside of these journals are generally left to showcase the raw suede and undyed. We know you will be using these a lot as the convenient sizing just begs to be taken along virtually anywhere so we made them with a standard, easy to refill binding.
These books are quite thick and have about 120 or 240 pages double sided

How we make our pieces:
Each book in this series is meticulously hand carved, hand dyed, hand finished and hand bound. Each image carved onto these books is an original created from our inspirations, which include: fantasy, travelling to ancient ruins, history and mythology. Some of these books are also hand painted with special leather paints and overlays. The leather used is an ethically sourced tooling hide that softens in over time. All of the leather used for these books is vegetable tanned and is a byproduct of the food industry. The acid free card stock pages, are great for: writing, drawing, sketching, photographs, scrapbooking, calligraphy, pen, pencil, etc. The classic bind used on these books gives an elegant old-world finish and allows the user or local book-binding clubs to easily rebind the book with any type of paper. The dyes used are an environmentally friendly water based dye which leaves a rich hand-finished touch on each book bringing out the unique highlights, grains, and character of each piece of leather*. We use a variety of different, hand applied, finishes to both protect and emphasize the leathers natural beauty. Finishes may include, but are not limited to, any or all of the following depending on the piece: high quality oils, waxes, gums, and protective coats. Each book is hand buffed once the finishes have set to give it a resilient sheen.
